About Stan Loomis
Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, Stan Loomis spent his childhood playing baseball and developing a passion for music.
At just 11 years old, he learned how to play percussion instruments and the drums before building a reputation as Orlando’s best rock band drummer and playing in a number of bands.
He graduated from Oak Ridge High School in 1969 and then began studying at Gulf Coast College with plans to become a commercial pilot. His professional aspirations shifted in 1970 as the Vietnam War continued, so he decided to transfer to Valencia College in Orlando. After completing his Associate in Science, Stan Loomis then studied pharmacy at Florida State University and Florida A&M University, earning his Bachelors in Pharmacy from the latter college. Next, he became a Registered Pharmacist by passing the Florida Pharmacy Boards.
Stan Loomis has held a number of leadership positions within the pharmacy industry and has even built multiple successful businesses.
His pharmacy career began as the Manager Pharmacist in an Orlando Walgreens, a position he held for five years before opting to start his own chain of pharmacies. He opened seven Loomis Drug Stores across Florida and grew the business considerably before selling it off twelve years later. Next, he worked for several years with the Orlando Regional Healthcare Pharmacy before opting to start another business of his own in 2000. Over the next seven years, he grew this business from nothing to more than $27 million in annual revenues.
