Stan Loomis and Naomi on MotorcyclesStan Loomis, has a number of hobbies, and has extensive experience with two of his greatest life passions: riding his motorcycle (named Big Dog Wolf) and travelling the world with his family.

Stan Loomis and his wife, Naomi Loomis regularly attend the biggest motorcycle races and bike week events, and have a preference for those close to their home. Below, we share some of Stan Loomis’s (and his wife’s) favorite Biking Destinations.

Florida is a popular riding destination for bikers the world over, and it really isn’t difficult to understand why. Beautiful year round weather, palm trees, gorgeous ocean roads, is extremely tempting for an avid biker like Stan Loomis.

Two of Stan Loomis’ favorite biking events for himself, Naomi, and Big Dog Wolf, are Daytona Beach’s Bike Week and Biketoberfest.

Daytona Bike Week is held over nine days in March and is one of the world’s most popular motorcycle events. It never fails to reward its visitors with a wide array of great biker bars, rocking live bands, and some of the best in races, activities and motorcycle displays. Next, of course is none other than Biketoberfest , which is a four day weekend in October, once again welcoming motorcycle enthusiasts from all over the world. Biketoberfest, again, provides all the staples of an excellent motorcycle festival with live music, a slew of great biker bars to choose from, the best in biker merchandise, exciting rallies and shows, and some of the best motorcycles around. These two events , while not the only two Stan Loomis and his wife attend, are staples on their annual list, and should be on yours as well.

Stan Loomis has traveled with his wife and their kids to a number of states as well as overseas.

While they sometimes travel by air, chartered yacht, or sailboat, other times they attend nearby destinations by motorcycle.

Last year, Stan Loomis and his wife rode their custom choppers from their home in Orlando to Biketoberfest 2013 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

As one of the country’s largest motorcycle rallies, Biketoberfest attracts thousands of riders to the city each year for motorcycling themed activities, events, and exhibitions. The 21st Biketoberfest event, Biketoberfest 2013, took place between October 17th and 20th.

Since the event was hosted in Daytona Beach, visitors were able to enjoy the gorgeous weather and perfect beaches in between motorcycle rallies and shows. Stan Loomis and other attendees were also able to take part in guided tours throughout the city. Other events included live music, racing on Daytona International Speedway, and viewing displays by major manufacturers debuting the newest models of popular bikes. The weekend’s events were contained in one of three locations:

Main Street: All attendees began on Main Street, where they learned about the weekend’s events at the welcome tent. Stan Loomis and his wife even sampled food at some of the nearby restaurants, relaxing outside as the parade of bikers arrived throughout the day.

Beachside: The Boardwalk Classic Bike Show is held in this location and awards cash prizes and trophies to the owners of the best looking bikes. Attendees can also spend time on the beach, eat local seafood, and tour the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse.

Beach Street / Ballough Road / Fairview Avenue: This area featured multiple motorcycle exhibits, including Harley-Davidson’s Museum Store, BMW Ducati Triumph of Daytona, and Carl’s Speed Shop race museum.

He is also a motorcyclist, so he travels with his wife to motorcycling events in and around Florida.

Earlier this year, he rode his customized 2010 Big Dog Wolf to Bike Week 2013 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Held annually for the last 72 years, Bike Week is recognized as one of the most popular motorcycle rallies in the country. This year’s event took place between March 8 and 17, 2013. The week featured a wide range of festivities, including motorcycle races, events, and exhibitions. Major manufacturers had a presence at the event, taking the opportunity to unveil some of their newest products. Harley Davidson offered riders a chance to try its new Breakout while Indian Motorcycle introduced its Thunder Stroke 111 V-Twin with the help of American Pickers star Mike Wolfe. Darkside Scientific also had a presence during the event, appearing to debut their new electroluminescent paint.

Stan Loomis and the other event attendees were able to take part in many memorable events, including:

  • 2013 Bike Week Raffle: One lucky winner took home the 2013 Official Bike Week Motorcycle, a 2012 Street Glide customized by Harley-Davidson of Daytona with an estimated value of $35,000
  • Rat’s Hole Custom Bike Show: Held in each of the last 41 Bike Weeks, this prestigious competition gives builders the opportunity to compete for handmade trophies.
  • Willie’s Tropical Tattoo Old School Chopper Show: This custom chopper event draws contestants from small shops and garages across the country, with contestants more likely to reinvent their old parts instead of ordering parts from a catalog.
  • Annual Coleslaw Wrestling Competition: This offbeat, fan-favorite event features twelve female contestants who wrestle in a ring covered with shredded cabbage for a chance at the $500 cash prize.
